School Daze!

So what if I am a little slow at posting the first day of school! We now have a 3rd grader wow how crazy is that. Ky was so excited to go to school this year. On the first day she scared me when I went to wake her up, she was already awake jsut laying in bed waiting for my alarm to go off. She has happily woke up each day since. It has been fun having Landon home but he misses his sister..

I laugh so hard when I see this picture. My mom was trying to show Landon where the spray cheese came out, when she pushed down on it an air bubble came out and shot Landon straight in the eye. It shocked him at first, now he just tells everyone grandma sprayed cheese in his eye.

Easter Weekend

We had the funnest Easter weekend. We went to Utah first and took the kids to Thanksgiving Point. They have the coolest dinosaur museum ever. My kids loved it and actually the adults had a good time also. There were so many cool exhibits and so many hands on activities. We went shopping, to lunch and more shopping. We went swimming and had a blast! The kids woke up to Easter Sunday in the hotel, they thought it was cool that the Easter Bunny followed them to Utah. We swam that morning after breakfast and then we packed up. On our way home we stopped at Temple Square and walked around the Visitors Center, the flowers were beautiful this time of year. We also walked up the Conference Center waterfall and the kids really enjoyed it. My kids have not stopped talking about our little getaway it was so much fun.. When we got back to Pocatello we had dinner with Joel's family, the kids also had an egg hunt. My mom has our pictures of Utah on her camera I'll upload it later.

So lately I have had an issue with the blogging world and everybody's claim to have the perfect life and kids and well you get the point. Well I will be the first to admit today totally sucked. I woke up grumpy and the mood lingered the rest of the day. My kids were not little angels today in fact they were the exact opposite. I accomplished a lot today but only minutes later it was destroyed by the above said anti angels. I was not the person anybody wanted to be around today and am hoping I will sleep if off tonight! Stay Tuned!!

The other day my brother was visiting. The kids were riding bikes so he joined in. He rode Landons bike down the driveway at mach speed,it was so funny to watch him be a kid himself. Oh and did I mention he crashed into the lawnmower!! My kids adore their Uncle Brandon. Each of them have a secret handshake that they do each time he leaves.. They sure love him hmmmmm. I can't see why!?!?!

Girls Night! Kylie had her two cousins Hannah and Emma over today. They are such goofballs they decided it would be fun to put all of Ky's bows in their hair and then take pictures. We love having the girls over. They seriously didn't stop laughing the entire time.

So it's seems like Landon is always getting hurt. I really need to invest in a bubble , it really is that bad. On Sunday before church my kids went outside and got on the tramp,two seconds later Landon was screaming. He had bitten his tongue and oh boy was there alot of blood Joel and Landon were covered by the time they reached the kitchen sink. I was totally grossed out, when we looked at it after we cleaned him up we noticed he had bitten all the way through. I learned that day that they won't stitch your mouth because it heals very fast. So poor Landon has a hole in his tongue. Landon seemed to do pretty good with his mouth for the next few days, but last night he was up quite a bit saying his tongue hurt. We finally called the doc this morning and he wanted to see him just to make sure he didn't have an infection. So I loaded Landon up and took him in. They did all the routine things and when the doc came in he checked him out he said he was running a temp and his glands were swollen. He left for a few and when he came back he said well It's STREP!! I about died I brought him in thinking his tongue was infected and left with a script for STREP>!?!?! I give up. Life is never dull around here! Cross your fingers that we make it through this week.

Kylie had her piano festival yesterday. She did so awesome she received a Superior! Earlier that day her Aunt Melanie wished her good luck and Ky said, "I don't need it", then later at the festival she said, "See mom I didn't need Melanie's luck. I have no clue where she got her confidence but I am glad she has it! GOOD JOB KYLIE!!

Tumbling!

The kids have started tumbling and they both LOVE it. They are in different classes but get to warm up together. Kylie is the best big sister she is always making sure Landon is doing good. Landon the kid who has no fear was afraid of the foam pit go figure, so Ky got him to the end of the tumble track and shoved him in, it was so funny but he is not afraid anymore! My camera has been acting up lately so sorry about the quality of these photos..

The other day we surprised Kylie with a pretend birthday party. She has this coupon book that when she does her chores she can choose something out of it. She chose the pretend b day party awhile ago but I kept putting her off. So we decided to surprise her and we put up some streamers and we all made cards. We even had store bought cupcakes with a candle in it. She was so excited when she got home. It was so fun to see her face when she walked in the door. Kylie has been such a great big sister we absolutely adore her.

More Painting

It seems like we have painting forever but , It has been 10 years that we have lived here so it is very much needed. We just started the basement we took the carpet out so it has been alot easier to paint without the worry of carpet. Kylie really wanted to help and I usually don't like her to because I'm afraid of the mess but this time we didn't need to worry. She decided to paint all of our names and our pets names on the wall and it kept her busy.. She is the biggest help around the house and we sure love her!!

What can I say about this kid he is always getting hurt. We never had to take Ky to the Er or urgent care for an injury,but Landon is on a first name basis at these places. Last night I was making dinner and I heard Landon fall,which is a common sound in our house. I told him to come here and he didn't so Joel went to get him and found him covered in blood by Ky's door, he had once again jumped off Ky's dresser, but this time he hit the corner of his eye on her trophy,which explains the blood.. After we cleaned him up we decided to take him to the Urgent Care so they could check it out. The doc said she didn't feel comfortable stitching it because it was so close to his eye. They bandaged him up and we were on our way. I swear this kid isn't gonna make it to 5.

My mom dropped by the other day and Ky was playing guitar hero and my mom wanted to give it a try. Well she's not so good and Ky kept reminding her of it. She vows to keep practicing so we'll see.

This week has been full of moments that make you stop and think,wow I am truly blessed to have what I have. Whether it be health, a job,or friends and family. Well we are pretty lucky to have all of it and there are many that don't. I took a meal into a family this week and the husband has terminal cancer, all I could think about was how bad I felt for them, and the only thing they could do was tell me how grateful they were for all the blessings they have received during their time of need. I hope that I can teach my kids that they should be grateful for all that they have.

Wow what a fun day. The kids woke us up at 7:00 which is actually later than they normally wake up so that was nice. We made them wait until about 8:30 for My mom and brother to get here. It actually snowed a bunch during the night. My mom got snowed in so my brother had to go get her. The kids were bouncing off the walls by the time they got here. We had the best morning ever, we did not feel rushed at all. After all the gifts were opened we went to Joel's parents house for more gift opening. My mom stayed at our house to cook Christmas dinner. My mom spoils us. At the Corrington's we had cinnamon rolls and juice for breakfast because Ted and Bev's kitchen is being remodeled, but the kids enjoyed that for breakfast! After that we came home and the kids got to open all their toys and we ate and ate it was yummy. My kids have been so fun to be with today and they are in heaven with all their new toys.

I finally got our computer fixed and we can blog again yeah!! We had a nasty virus on our computer that pretty much wiped out everything we had, but we are up and running again. Life has been so busy around here with the holidays and finals going on. Joel is finally done with all finals and he has a week off of school and work. The kids are so excited about Christmas it is going to be so fun. Here are a couple of pictures of Ky's School program. She was so fun to watch, definately the performer of the family.

So today Landon had his first dentist appointment to get his teeth cleaned. I have to admit I was very nervous about taking him. He hates it when we brush his teeth at home so I was worried about them being able to work on him. I even warned the dentist that just because Kylie is an angel doesn't mean it runs in the family. (side note) Ky has had some pretty deep cavities worked on with out being numbed the Dr. says she is his best patient by far. Well we got to the dentist and saw Grandma C. who actually works there which is nice and she told us that Grandpa was getting his teethed cleaned so she took Landon to visit him. Meanwhile in my head I envision him kicking and screaming as we take him back. So a little later they call his name and he says, "Thats my name momma," He was excited to go and the rest of the visit went awesome he listened so well and didn't even squirm in the chair. I am so proud of him. Maybe we can start introducing him to the public again:) I know I am cheesy but here are a few pics.

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that I am so thankful for all of my wonderful blessings. My amazing husband who some how manages a full time job, full time school, and a family. I love my wonderful children,who make me so happy and keep me on my toes day and night. This is certainly my most favorite time of year. I love being with my friends and family. The thing I love the most is the shopping the day after Thanksgiving, I know it's crazy, but there is something fun about shopping at 4 a.m. with my sister in law Sarah.. I hope you all had a great day I know we did.

Landon is 3 today,yeah he made it !?! It's crazy how time flies. It has definitely been an adventure with this little boy. Trouble finds him where ever he goes,but he seems to melt you with his I'm sorry momma... or it was an accident daddy.. how could you not love this boy..
We celebrated his birthday yesterday because his daddy had to work today. We went to lunch at Arctic Circle (his choice). We also took him to get his hair cut he was so good and just sat still. I will be taking him to get his hair cut from now on. When I cut his hair it is full of wiggles and screams and momma no!! Later on we had all the cousins over for cupcakes and ice cream. He opened his presents and he was one happy little kid. Thanks everybody for making his day special..

So today as we ran errands we were in the car and I asked Landon if he was buckled and he said yes. Well his sister said otherwise so I told Landon that it makes me sad that he lied to me,and that Heavenly Father was sad too.. Well Landon's response was "well Santa still loves me." This was Halloween night at g&g house. The weather was so nice and both of the kids had so much fun. Kylie was Hannah Montana this year and Landon was a Lion. When I was putting Landon's costume on and he said "Mom don't be scared it's me Landon." He is such a cutie. Kylie had a wonderful time with her cousins. She is getting so big. We love her so much.. Anywho glad to see Halloween behind us. It seemed to drag on forever, we had so many parties to go to it felt like we dressed up 30 times.I have more pics but they are on my friends camera because mine died..
Grandma and Grandpa we miss you guys so much hopefully you will be able to stay close to us even though you are far away.... WE LOVE YOU!!

Boise was a blast!!!

We had so much fun in Boise this weekend it was a much needed getaway. We sent Ky to school on Friday without saying a word about our secret. Landon and I packed the car while Joel got a few hours of sleep (three to be exact). At 1:00 we went to Ky's school to pick her up she had no idea we were coming:) she was so surprised to see us. She thought we were there to pick her up for another dentist appointment. Landon broke the news he said "Ky we are going on a very long long trip." It was so fun to surprise her she was so excited. We met up with the in laws and headed off. We got to Boise did some shopping, ate and headed to Joel's aunt Nevi's. We ended up getting to her house later than we expected. Stacey was there waiting for us to show us the way to her house. We stayed at the McKenna's (Joel's cousin). When we got there they showed us to our room, it was hilarious cause Trevor put little candies on our pillows and he set out towels and washcloths for us. They were the best hostess's we could have asked for!!
On Saturday we went to breakfast with the in laws and uncle Gary. We shopped some more and then we headed for our train ride. When we pulled up to the train the kids were so excited. We got on the train and sat in the open car it was such a blast my kids loved it. We picked out our pumpkins after some long deliberation we loaded them back on the train. After the train we ate a restaurant along the river with the fam it was yummy. We then headed back into Boise to the Kripsy Kreme store the kids go to watch the donuts be made and then they gave us a free one. They were so stinking good. Overall we had a wonderful day.!! I am so excited. This weekend we are taking the kids to Boise to ride the Thunder Mountain Train. The secret part about this is they have no idea. We are going to pack there bags and pick ky up from school and off we go. It has been really hard to keep this secret. Kylie really wants to go buy pumpkins and we keep telling her we don't need any this year. She will be so surprised when we get to the pumpkin patch. YEAH!!!! I love surprising my kids...

It's not what you think. We got a call from the school saying Ky had fallen on the playground. Well I showed up at school to check on her and she had chipped her front tooth ( yes a permanent one). As you can see her nose swelled up pretty big she was so miserable. Later on that day she made the comment " Well I kissed the ground and broke up with him." She is all healed up now and looks much better.
